Summary:
Coordinate the implementation of grant awards and ensure post-award compliance. Compile financial (in conjunction with program staff, Vice President WFS, and CFO), and non-financial data for the preparation of internal reports, compliance reports, and grant billings. Maintain relationships with external grant managers, program offices of funding bodies, and community partner agencies. Write grant applications for new funding and reapplications to sustain funding. Must have valid driver license; personal auto insurance; and pass backgrounds and driver record check.

Education and/or Experience:
Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Some Essential Functions:

  • Manage existing grants by: tracking grants; developing internal reporting systems; writing reports; maintaining excellent historical records; working with staff to ensure each project or program is meeting proposal conditions and expectations.
  • Perform various general grant administration functions such as billings, budget modifications, plan change, and  program evaluation.
  • Creates and maintains appropriate spreadsheets and documentation to support grant expenses in conjunction with billing and finance department.
  • Ongoing monitoring of grant budgets and expenditures to ensure targets are met.
  • Ongoing monitoring of grant program goals and monthly performance.
  • Work with appropriate agency departments to gather data for reports and ensure that proper records are maintained.
  • Communicate relevant grant information with agency departments and all appropriate internal users.
  • Prepare written and statistical reports for various audiences.
  • Regularly monitor and document grant expenditures and grant funded activity to ensure compliance with federal regulations and grant conditions.
  • Participate in community planning work to support WFS program activities, as requested.
  • Establish and maintain positive relationships grantors and partner agencies.
  • Draft and edit grant proposals, checking for completeness for submission.  Format budget to meet grant sources/budget requirements.
  • Provide input to Vice President on preparing annual budget for delivery of services.
  • Participant in WFS department meetings.
  • Make recommendations to Vice President for necessary changes in policy style.
  • Stay informed of state and federal laws affecting the organization and the people it serves.
  • Participate in Goodwill fundraising events, as requested and appropriate.
  • Provide work activities in accordance with Goodwill policies, CARF standards, and principles of safety.
  • Model and train appropriate work behaviors.
  • Comply with work rules and company policies.
  • Adhere to and uphold the values of Goodwill Industries of the Inland Northwest in working with clients, staff and external customers. 
  • Arrive on time to work, meetings, etc. Return to work promptly after breaks, lunch, meetings, etc. 
  • Display a constructive, positive and professional attitude; deal directly with challenges, working toward a positive resolution. 
  • Work collaboratively with Workforce and Family Services to provide client services. 
  • Follow all policies, procedures, and directives of Goodwill Industries of the Inland Northwest assuring safety of personnel or property. 
  • Properly wear and maintain all required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). 
  • Maintain agency confidentiality. Violation of confidentiality is cause for immediate dismissal. 
  • Comply with and promote good safety practices. Maintain an orderly work area. Comply with all health, safety and fire standards and all local, state and federal regulations (WISHA & OSHA).
  • Other duties as assigned.
